Crop Walk 2022
Charlotte CROP Walk raised $201,000 exceeding their $200,000 goal for 2022. And…..Team Kappa helped them reach their goal by raising $10,660.
On Saturday, March 11, CROP Walk held their annual Recognition Event at St. John’s Baptist Church. Team Kappa was the top fundraiser in their category. Four of Team Kappa’s walkers were among the top fundraisers , raising over a $1000 each. Ann McCain raised $3820. The other three were Charlene Wertz, Martha Tillman, and Gloria Jones.
Martha Tillman was truly surprised when she won the prestigious Weenie Daniel Award for her long, dedicated service to CROP. She originally walked 10 miles with her church. She walked 4-6 miles with her Idlewild students. She has served on the Charlotte Leadership and Planning Team. She was t-shirt chair and a valuable member of Team Kappa! Congratulations to Martha Tillman.
Thank you, Kappa, for supporting this worthwhile cause! You are the good in the world!
